Bjork: Cheshire’s bluedot 2022 confirm closing headliner

CHESHIRE competition bluedot 2022 have uncovered their closing headliner.

The music, science and society function held at Jodrell Bank Observatory has introduced that Icelandic artist Björk will end off the festival which can take position between July 21-24 in 2022.

Bjork will be joined by The Hallé Orchestra accompanied by a projection mapping spectacle.

The audio-visible performance will feature movie and animated projections on the iconic Lovell Telescope, for a distinctive show special to bluedot.

This will be the first time audiences at bluedot have noticed the dish of the 76-metre wide Lovell Telescope area transformed into a gigantic digital artwork.

Pageant director Ben Robinson stated: “After the postponements of the final two summers we wished to return with a little something additional unique and unique. We spoke to Björk’s group about curating visuals to accompany the clearly show and getting the very first confirmed artists to challenge on to the surface area of the Lovell Telescope at bluedot pageant.

“Björk and her staff are previously doing work on this one of a kind spectacle and we are exceptionally grateful for their enthusiasm for creating the closing established of bluedot’s return actually unique.”

Teresa Anderson, director of the Jodrell Bank Centre for Engagement, additional: “We’re delighted to welcome bluedot again to its household at Jodrell Financial institution. Bjork is an artist who will work on the imaginative frequent ground involving artwork and science so it’s amazing that she will be headlining the festival, below at the UK’s residence of Astrophysics. We’re genuinely wanting ahead to observing everyone once more!”
