Christmas market returns with hundreds of stalls and live music

A FEAST of festive fun is taking off as Knutsford Christmas Market returns.

A two day street market, Santa parade, live entertainment, food, drink and artisan gifts promise to create a great event for the whole family.

Around 140 stalls will line Princess Street and Silk Mill Street on Saturday, November 27 from 12 noon to 7pm.

More present ideas will be available as 130 traders come to town on Sunday, November 28 from 11am to 4pm.

Alex Brown, from Knutsford Town Council, said: “There is something for everyone at this week’s Christmas event.

Shane Lynch from Boyzone

Shane Lynch from Boyzone, Sheena Lynch from the Real Housewives of Cheshire and Nathan Gerhold, stunt driver from The Fast and The Furious will join Santa to switch on the Christmas lights.

Food and drink stalls will be in Canute Place on Saturday and outside The Lost and Found on Princess Street on Sunday.

Travelling LIght Circus LED light performers will join Santa’s parade

Live entertainment featuring singing and dancing and carols sung by local primary schools starts at 1pm on Saturday, followed by Santa’s parade from the bottom of King Street at 5pm.

Travelling Light Circus LED light performers and the City of Chester Brass Band will parade up to Canute Place for the lights switch on at 6pm.

Gifted acoustic singer songwriter Sam Lyon will headline an evening of music.

A free park and ride shuttle service will run from Booths Hall to Knutsford Bus Station for easy access.
