Passionate writer launches exciting new Knutsford book festival

A Writer with a enthusiasm for textbooks is giving nearby authors a voice.

Tim Olsen is organising a unique book competition in Knutsford on Saturday, April 9 and hopes it will become an annual occasion.

A BBC broadcaster, comic publisher, kid’s writer and crime fiction creator have currently signed up.

“I consider it truly is likely to be enjoyable,” reported Tim, who operates the Oxfam bookshop on Princess Avenue.

“I desired it to be community. Up and coming writers don’t often have the chance to converse to individuals and share suggestions.

Admission to the festival at the Methodist Church corridor in Princess Avenue on Saturday, April 9 will be cost-free and there will be guest speakers.

About 16 authors are predicted and textbooks will be on sale.

Broadcaster, writer and musician Mark Radcliffe, 63, who lives in Knutsford, will be chatting about his career.

The present BBC Radio 2 and 6 new music DJ has published titles which includes Showbusiness, Northern Sky, Thank You For The Days, Reelin’ In The Yrs and Crossroads.

The publications are centered on unique strands of new music and document the tracks and artists that have offered the soundtrack to his lifetime.

Following undertaking with a variety of groups he is now a member of the electronic band Une and the American 7-piece FineLines.
