The Hotel Indigo Exeter, owned by Hotel Exe Limited and managed by Castlebridge Hospitality, has announced it has opened its new Dugout Sports Bar.

Although the bar sits within the hotel building, it has its own entrance and exit and so can open ahead of Hotel Indigo Exeter. The hotel will also feature other drink and dining facilities including Colson’s Bar and Restaurant and Becketts Champagne and Cocktail Rooftop Bar.

Showing coverage from Sky Sports, BT Sport BBC and ITV, the Dugout will show games from major national and international football tournaments, rugby union and rugby league, golf, boxing, tennis championships, Formula 1, and NFL.

The Dugout also offers a range of dishes including snacks, wings by the kilogram, sandwiches, burgers and hot dogs, steaks, loaded fries, sides and salads along with desserts. Drinks include Somerset Cider, British and craft lagers along with guest ales.

The hotel’s Colson’s Restaurant has also announced the appointment of its new chef Charlotte Vincent who is currently on BBC 2 ‘Great British Menu’.

Raised in Exeter, she completed a Master’s in Psychology and Human Biology at the University of Plymouth before joining the Royal Logistics Corp of the British Army. She then joined Michael Caines at Gidleigh Park, where she worked as a pastry chef, before moving to The Royal Clarence Hotel in the same capacity. She took over at The Five Bells in Devon three years ago, earning the pub a place in the UK’s Top 50 Gastropubs shortly afterwards.

Simon Hall, Castlebridge Hospitality MD, said: “We are thrilled to have opened The Dugout Bar before we open Hotel Indigo Exeter which I’m sure will be a popular Bar amongst sporting fans. We’re also delighted to welcome Charlotte to the team who will be a tremendous asset to Colson’s Restaurant.”
